Read Clocks and Write Times

Learn to tell time like a time-telling superhero!

What Does the Clock Say?

Clocks help us know when it's time to play, eat, or sleep!
The big hand points to minutes and the little hand points to hours. When the big hand points to 12, we say "o'clock"!

How to Read a Clock

1️⃣ Look at the little hand first - it tells us the hour

2️⃣ Then look at the big hand - it tells us the minutes

3️⃣ Put them together to say the time!

Let's Practice Together!

Example 1: What time is it?

Example 2: Make the Clock Show 3:00

Parent Tips 🌟

  • Make it a game: Ask "What time is it?" throughout the day and celebrate correct answers with high-fives!
  • Use analog clocks at home: Having visible clocks helps children practice naturally in daily life.
  • Connect to routines: Point out regular times like "7:00 - breakfast time" or "8:00 - bedtime" to make time meaningful.
